It all started with a Free Dinner for me and my guest plus a "fun and relaxed 90 minute introduction to making money on the Internet." Not to mention the great $39.99 Business Organizer as a free gift. A $120.00 Value FREE for me and my guest. No mention of StoresOnline, even the return address, Seattle Washington. Did I go? Yes, me and my guest with a couple of our friends who had received the same "Complimentary Tickets". Was it worth my time? Sure, a pleasant dinner out with friends of course it was, We even met some other nice people who took advantage of the same offer.
Did I sign up for the full day Internet Workshop at $20.00 which included a second meal and a whole days worth of info. for me and my guest. Of course I did, can't think of a full days worth of entertainment that includes all the coffee we can drink and a meal that was above standard as conventions go with a better price tag.
We attended the introductory conference at the Ardmore Convention Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the evening of Friday, October 6, 2006. The Internet Workshop was at the Sheridan Hotel Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. and went until just after 6:00 in the evening. Personally I feel the $20 was well spent, even the 240 miles of gas and $7.00 for parking at the Sheridan was not wasted. The speakers were dynamic and if you are Internet savvy enough to sort out the accurate info from the, well let's just say the not so accurate information you can even learn a few things.
Today only:
$2200 for 6 sites and all the software and only $24.95 per month per site to have them on line.
$2700 for 3 sites and all the software and only $24.95 per month per site to have them on line.

I tell you these guys are slick, I was even beginning to wonder if my over twelve years of internet design experience was worthless, not to mention the years of graphic design and schooling, when I asked the last question,
"Can you honestly tell me that you can keep a site at the top of the search engines without constant updates?" Well you know the if looks could kill and they can't cause I'm still kicking. He did not say a word just walked away. That was all I needed and we were out of there.
I do want all of you to know, especially if you bought in, those guys are great at what they do and they are certainly making money, not necessarily on the Internet and not through the methods they are selling, but they are making a lot of money and are very good at what they do even if I am not alone in thinking it fraudulent. Do Not waste time kicking yourself! Get the facts and try to get your money back or at the very least do not give them another dime and learn how to make this work for you.
I wish I would have done my homework before attending this seminar. I did not. I finally got around to looking them up on the Internet. The only good comments I found were made by them. I could only find a couple of their hosted sites which means to me that all the negative feed back I found was very accurate. I am going to add a few links here so you can read for yourself, please close the new windows that will open to return here. This guy is paying Google to keep his page on top when you look for storesonline What Storesonline Does Not Want You To Know! and Buyer Beware!!!!!, RIP-OFF Report.com Lot's of good info here from actual customers of StoresOnline and an x-employee, WTAE-TV channel 4, PA and NetSenseOnline.com, there is a lot out there and none of it is good unless it appears on their own sites. If people were making the money they claim using their program you think at least one would write a positive review. One thing to keep in mind is that anyone can say just about anything they want (such as stores online), but the sheer magnitude and my own experience plus much of what I saw at their presentation says the complaints are real and StoresOnline will only make you money if you go to work directly for them. Why else would a successful person making tons of money go running around the country to tell others how great their life of leisure is?
If you have made a purchase from StoresOnline in the last 90 days you should try to get your money back. From all that I have read this will not be easy but it is necessary to make the effort. You will need to do this in writing, StoresOnline Inc., 754 E. Technology Ave., Orem, UT 84097-6204. First and foremost do not feel in the least embarrassed if more people in the past would have stood up and been counted they may not be here today to rip you and so many others off. In Oklahoma contact: The Honorable W. A. Drew Edmondson, Attorney General of Oklahoma, Office, State Capitol, Room 112, 2300 North Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73105 Phone (405) 521-3921. In Utah you may want to contact: The Honorable Jan Graham, Attorney General of Utah, Office, State Capitol, Room 236, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-0810, Phone (801) 538-1326.
Please note Utah's area code is 801 - This is NOT a toll free number.
Don't give StoresOnline another dime, I read one story online about a lady who had a toll free phone line installed several years back at StoresOnline's insistence. Several huge phone bills latter she found out that most of the money she thought was going to the phone company was actually being paid to StoresOnline. No matter how much money you throw at this you are not going to get what was promised.
What am I or is PuterVill getting out of this? Nothing except the satisfaction that comes from doing the right thing and or helping others. I did get an idea during the seminar on a new way to sell web sites and may use it, but I am not trying to sell you a thing. I am going to list some links and information below where you can find real help FREE and how to register and host your site or sites at a very low rate compared to StoresOnline. The only thing we want from you is that you send us any info that you would like to pass onto others that need help and that if you ever do need our services please give us a call. PuterVill is in no way affiliated with any persons' or business' listed here. We do use the sites and services listed here.
If you have already hosted a site with StoresOnline than your site name is registered (i.e. www,whoyouare.com .net or many others). Registration has to be done annually by all web owners. Take a look, a new page will open, close it to return GoDaddy.com PuterVill.com and .net has been hosted at GoDaddy for going on three years, I have always been satisfied with the customer support that we have received. I hand code all of my web pages using "Windows Notepad" and do not know anything about their Web Site Builder, but with the excellent results I have with their other services, I do not imagine this would be anything but good and easy to use. Take a look there is a lot they offer, unless I am in the dark somewhere I thing GoDaddy's customer support is everything and more than that promised by StoresOnline.
Here are just a few great sites where you can find a lot of great advice and help, all links will open a new page, close them to return.

There is one thing that I forgot to mention yesterday. The StoresOnline speakers were so adamant about having more than one website, though there are some advantages to this for the most part it does not apply. Let me give you an example. "PuterVill", for years now even PHD's have referred to their computers as their puter. We tried to register our site as puterville - that was taken so we settled for putervill. We are both putervill.com and putervill.net, however though the .net is registered to us it is not actually a web site, if someone types in putervill.net they are redirected to putervill.com where our site is actually placed. By doing it this way we do not have to pay the additional monthly web hosting cost for two sites and the annual registration varies from year to year but is under $20. Anything computer related would play well on this site.
A web site owner has many options available one of which is adding folders. http://www.putervill.com/eastside/ is basically another web site that is resident on putervill.com in a folder titled "eastside", it is our local area volunteer fire department site. Some of you may recognize Kyle who was at the StoresOnline seminar, Vicki who was in attendance & the author here is the webmaster and is not pictured as she was behind the camera. This site had over two thousand hits in a year. There is no separate registration or monthly web hosting charges for this site.
Let's say your site was shoes.com, if you try to sell china or silver flat ware you might have some problems, your site needs a relevant name only to an extent. Take storesonline.com, they could sell stores like they do, they could also sell anything that you would find in any type of store from hardware to grocery and so on. All the search engines look at each page on your site individually, as well as each folder, etc. unless you tell them not too (that is another topic but amounts to a meta tag in your head section of your page <meta name="robots" content="index, follow, all"> to get the search engines to look at your page and list it or <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> to keep them away.) if the search engines like what they see then they list your page as you have directed them to do so according to you page title also in the body section, for this page <title>StoresOnline & Internet Workshop</title> plus the url extension, this page is located at http://www.putervill.com/sol.html and http://www.putervill.com/storesonline.html in order to increase this pages visibility and optimization.
I am sorry that StoresOnline and others like them tell people that those of us who have spent years learning and continue our education on a daily basis in an effort to keep up with the constant changes on the Internet and computers in general are the ones not being truthful. Fact is when most of us tell you this is not easy and there is no magic formula it is because that is the truth. Think about it for a minute here, I did not asked for any information from you or about you, the counters I have on all my web pages do give me demographic information which basically tells me your general geographical location, what type of web browser and operation system you use, and how you got to our website, which search engine or some other method which could mean you typed it in or found us through one of our many link partners. That is it. I do not know who you are or even why you are visiting this web page. You will not get an email from me unless you contact us. I put up this web page because:
- I genuinely care about people.
- I feel that this company and others like it are destroying the reputability of honest people who see the Internet as a good place to make a honest living.
- I feel that this company and others like it is ruining the potential of the Internet for everyone.
- I feel that any person or persons who try to steel from others should be jailed, but since I do not have the power to do that I can expose them for what they are.
- I feel that if anyone is not part of the solution they become part of the problem.
- I believe in freedom, justice and the American way.
- I believe if I deal truthfully and honestly with people for the most part I will get the same back.
- I believe in God.
I have several pages on this site that help people take care of their computer all free. PuterVill is a service based company and yes we are paid for many of our services. It is however, a waste of your money and our time if we spend hours taking care of the things you as a computer owner need to know how to do yourself. I guess there are certain not so reputable mechanics that in the early days of automobiles would have had you bring in your car each time it needed gas and claimed that it took some high degree of skill to fill the tank. Just as there are some that claim you can not do many of the simple tasks listed on this site your self. Simple truth there is no such thing as a computer expert. There are no Internet experts either. In both cases things change daily and make it impossible for any one person to keep up with it all but you can be an expert in any part of either field if you are willing to invest the time and necessary head banging against the wall that it takes. You can also find just about anything you will ever need to know about computers and the Internet on the Internet at no charge, again it amounts to how much time and energy you are willing to expend. Or you can hire someone who will give it to you straight like we at PuterVill and many other computer business' will do.
Again I wish you all the best and remind you PuterVill is here when you need us!
