I feel that Google is the best search engine around. Need to know who that phone number belongs to? Type it in and click "Search". Do remember, as it is with all engines, each word is searched separately in a phrase.
I recently found this little nugget. The results redirect the user to a treasure troff of search engines.

It is not often that we run across something for nothing, but sometimes when we have our karma adjusted just right it does happen. PuterVill tests everything first and will not post a link to any software unless we think it is GREAT! Stuff can and does happen - We therefore have to state that PuterVill does not guarantee or warrantee any items from third party vendors and assumes no responsibility for any damage incurred due to the use or misuse of software listed here. What would we do without all those legal minds - smile a lot more I bet.Photoshop about $600.00. . .

This is the most common complaint I hear, "I was right in the middle of . . . when everything just quit, I could not even get the mouse to move that little arrow."
There are many reasons why a computer freezes up, but the most common is also the simplest to remedy. Reboot! Yes, it is that simple. I reboot my computer several times a day with heavy use. A good rule of thumb is to reboot before you plan to go on line for awhile, play a game or start any major project.
Use your windows utilities! In your "System Tools" folder click onand follow the directions. It is safe to remove all of these temp files, your computer has placed them here in order to load web pages etc. faster, but too many slows down and can even stop all loading. You may want to have a look in your Recycle Bin and make sure nothing fell in by accident (Click on "Recycle Bin" to highlight it and click on the "View Files" button) take a look, if it is ok to delete all you see here close this window and select "Recycle Bin" on the list. After you have selected the areas that Cleanup should take care of just click the "Ok" button down there on the bottom - easiest cleaning you will ever have to do. It is wise to reboot after making any such changes in your drives programming. I suggest running Disk Cleanup once a week for the average user. Remember disk defrag is very hard on your hard drive I do not suggest using it more than once a month. You can use your "Scheduled Task" program also located in your System Tools folder to do this automatically. Scandisk can cause delition of important system files - I do not suggest using it at all - you should delete that function from your "Scheduled Task".

Don´t lose your place! If you have ever clicked an interesting Link* on a page and not been able to find your way back to the original page, this tip is for you:
Simply right click rather than the standard left click on the desired link*. A drop down menu will appear example, now click (standard left click) on the second option "Open in New Window". You will see the new browser window, you can then click any link* to go anywhere you want. Simply close this new window to reveal your starting window.
Be sure and close the new window, having to many windows open at one time can cause your computer to freeze up. The amount of windows you can have open at one time without freeze up depends solely on your computer, I suggest you have no more than 3 or 4 windows open at one time unless you know your computer can handle more.
*Link - A line of text that is usually underlined or a picture that leads the viewer to a new location on the Internet. Think of Links as exits off of the Interstate, in order to stay on the main road (window you started on) use the "Open in New Window" option as stated above.

Note: If the "Windows Clipboard" is empty the "Paste" function will be grayed out (Not available). If there is no highlighted text or a file has not been selected the "Cut" & "Copy" functions will be grayed out (Not available).
*Windows Clipboard - in most cases the clipboard can not be seen - it is a program that holds only one piece of information at a time. You must "Paste" the information you have copied to clipboard before using either the "Cut" or "Copy" commands a second time, or the original information you copied to the Clipboard will be lost.
Remember: "Cut" or "Copy" then "Paste"

Inflation - When the dollar does not buy a dollar's worth of goods.
As close as I can figure we have about 20¢ worth of spending power for every dollar in our pocket. About 70¢ goes to some government office or another, commonly known as taxes. Lets see we have the obvious, "Income Tax" both State & Federal, "Property" Tax and yes even when you rent a portion goes to the property owners taxes, let's not forget "Sales Tax" which is on a local level, City, County and State. There are to many to list here, but did you know that in most states every item left on the store keepers shelves generates a "Shelving Tax"? We pay so many hidden taxes that it would take close to forever to figure where every penny is going and why. Then another long time to write them all down. Let's just say Uncle Sam and all his buds can afford the finer things in life and the type of things that even the most financially secure of the general population can not even imagine having.
Prices at the gas pump are climbing so rapidly that even the most frequent visitor to the station is usually shocked. They tell us that this is our fault, we use too much. Well excuse me, but again if we knew how much was going into politics we would all probably be ready for the Revolution or at the very least a very lively "Boston Tea Party" entitled something like Petroleum Tax PicNic?
To shut us up our kindly US elected officials gave us all a raise "Minimum Wage". Knowing full well that this would further inflate the dollar and put even more in their silk pockets. Fact remains that no one can live independently on minimum wage. Enter food stamps, welfare, medicaid and the like that though they provide a tiny bit of relief, (not near enough) to the poor these programs are more of a tax burden on all of us especially the poor that are suppose to be getting help. Don't get me wrong something is better than the alternative, but many people are suffering right here in this country just way to much. The government workers who handle these programs are overworked and certainly aren't getting rich off of any of this either. Who is being helped? Long and Short of this story the more the government gives us the more it expects and dang better get in return. So just what can we do besides talk about it.
The PuterVill Solution:
By cutting our prices we are fighting the inflation hitting your pocket book and ours too. More affordable prices will bring more customers to our door which will also allow us to make the income we need in order to survive. We will also be handing less of your money & ours over to the government. We think this is a win - win situation - you get the best service available for an affordable price and we lower our Tax Bracket. I know it sounds kind of silly but Yes Less really can be More!
If you can not even afford our new low prices please give us a call. We have discounts for elderly and disabled persons. We are privately and local owned - your money stays in this our community.
One other Plus our technician is of the Baby Boom Generation. She speaks good ole' US English even though she can carry on a techno babble conversation with the best of them. We are here to serve! Our goal is to have you Happily Computing. PuterVill and it's employees have heart after all we are located in the heart of Lve County, Oklahoma
